{day 112 of 365}

Day 109 April 19 {2010}  I got up raring to go today, took my vitamins, drank my coffee, ran a couple of errands to the grocery store and Target, and promptly came home to CRASH on the couch. What the heck! I slept for like 2 hours...M had a game tonight. Then, we grabbed Chili's to go, and the rest is history!

Day 110 April 20 {2010} My BFF's from Jr. High, who is still one of my very favorite people in the world, Kelley's birthday! So fun being two days apart. I remember nothing else. I think I designed today, H had a baseball game which M was confined to the bleachers for. She might never leave my side again. I actually got her out of bed Sunday night and made her sleep with me. Yeah, I'm that mom. (I took the camera to H's game, Heath got some cool pics...but, the card wasn't in it. suck. this is just how life is sometimes!)

Day 111 April 21 I cleaned a bit today, little more designing, laundry. I have a boring life. Why do I blog about it? Not sure. M, H and I did go see "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" today, SO good. I really enjoyed it. I think that was H's first chapter book he voluntarily read. Good stuff. Then, on the way home, we stopped at Target. I got the supplies to set up my recycling center. Finally, and I even forgot it was Earth Day this week! LOL! M is in charge of recycling and was super excited to make the signs. She sat at the counter while I made supper asking how to spell "paper, plastic, cans, and glass" so she could make signs. I was going to make cute ones, but these are much more precious to me and will stay on the trash cans!

Day 112 April 22 The countdown to Italy is ON! So, I need to start doing a few things...like my nails and pedicure, don't forget the eyebrows! LOL! That took a while, then I grabbed some dry rub from Williams-Sonoma that a lady told me about to use for a rib recipe. (We'll make this on Sunday for Robyn and J.) Then, grabbed lunch--and M from preschool. I plopped supper in the crock pot and watched the food network. See, told you I'm boring! Tonight we ate and then watched one of the BEST Survivor episodes ever. JT-stupid last week, consequence this week; Parvarti-BRILLIANT! Sandra has the game in her hands if she plays it right!

And for a few pictures to catch up...
Hunter playing ball

Isotopes Game-Dodgers' AAA team (You can't tell, but H (in blue jeans) is standing with the catcher for the Nat'l Anthem right in front of the umps. He was very excited about that! )

And H on the big screen when he was intro'ed before the game!!!

My birthday lunch at the melting pot

{day 108 of 365--and the best one too!!}

Happy Birthday to Me! I so love my birthday. I've had a chill birthday, and sometimes, you totally need that! I slept in, hung out with the family--even put up M's laundry--ate lunch at The Melting Pot--yum!!! Then, I came home and CRASHED on the couch, sat in the hot tub, drank a margarita, had a grilled cheese for supper, watched the CMAs, and designed. Chill and great! So, that's today's update I guess! LOL!

I'm behind, I stink at posting sometimes! Where did I leave off? Oh jeez, 102!?!? ( no pictures to save time) This is all to help me with my journaling anyway! I'll try to get pics later!

Day 102 April 12 {2010} M and I went to Santa Fe to turn in paper work, we also shopped at the outlet mall! Plus, H had a game, with an AMAZING bunt! His coach was more excited that he read the sign! LOL!

Day 103 April 13 {2010} The pool cover got put on today yippee!! Apparently, I have no recollection of anything else this day.

Day 104 April 14 {2010} Both of my kids had baseball games, and at the same time. Heath went to M's while I kept score at H's. Oh, we also tried to swim in the pool...heater hadn't heated it enough. COLD!

Day 105 April 15 {2010} Tax day, gag. We sent our check in. That was memorable, writing that awful thing! But, it's my duty as a US Citizen. What else? I ran around town...I remember now, Heath wondered what in the world I did all day long! LOL! Errands getting things ready for our trip! he he. We swam all afternoon (starting at like 2, with a break to pick H up!) Also, we made beer-butt chicken (Heath begged for a change in menu for grilling...fine with me!) Yum! We had a great evening outside in the pool and hot tub!

Day 106 April 16 {2010} We turned the Swamp Cooler on...yeah, so far, no need for A/C...this thing is freezing me out! Oh, and Cappy got a hair cut...yippy, he was nasty--he's our Yorkie! We made hamburgers, oh, and I made my mom's fabulously wonderful homemade Onion Rings. The only time she makes them is in the Spring b/c of the availability of the perfect 1015 Onion. YUM!!! I overate tonight.
Oh, today was the day of M's revelation!  "I've learned three things about myself. 1. I'm cute. 2. I'm a smart-a-holic. I really like being smart. 3. I'm a big girl."

Day 107 April 17 {2010} This day will go down in history, I will never, ever, ever forget this day in my life. We lost M. I mean, we lost her...almost called the cops lost her. I thought I'd be on the news and speaking to the FBI lost her.
We were at H's baseball game and all of a sudden she was gone! gone. I might have a panic attack thinking about it over 24 hours later. She'd wondered off with some other girls, and I guess they just lost track of where they were!?!? It doesn't matter, but Heath looked around the fields, then I looked, then all of the parents on H's team looked, they made an announcement over the speakers. Thank God, our friend Scott saw some kids at the end of the ball fields, near a neighborhood. Heath saw Scott walking over there, then ran past him...spotting our baby in her hot pink rain boots and sweatshirt! Oh. My. Goodness...thank God, he found her! When they found me to tell me, I literally collapsed! I cried, and almost threw up. I've never felt like that in my life. It was the worst 20+ minutes of my life. I pray I never have to experience that again. I'm so horribly sorry for anyone out there who has experienced this. Awful, horrible...those words aren't enough...where are my friends Vanessa and Tracey who have incredible writing skills...I need words ladies! Praise God that she's okay. I think I need to go hold my baby girl now.

Day 108 April 18 {2010} Thank God this isn't the day after M was lost...Thank you, God, for allowing me to be born today. My life is blessed. I need to go kiss and hold each of my babies now. Peace out.

Mama, I'm not going to...

M just walked into my office and says: "Mama, I'm not going to show you the banana dance I learned at ski school."
Mama: "okay."
M: "Okay, I will."
Mama: "okay"
M: "I'm just too shy. I can't."
Mama: "okay."
M: "Okay, I'll show you. peel banana, peel peel banana. chop banana, chop chop banana...." then she keeps chanting the song. "go bananas." (but, she doesn't).

For my little gal, who is super animated, the song and dance was a disappointment, but the entire scene was awesome.

{day 101 of 365}

Day 99 April 9 {2010} Fun day today. Hung out at home, went to lunch with M and Heath, then on a couple of errands. I made homemade Texas Sheet Cake for Hank and Kelly's tonight. We went over to their house with her parents of some other drs. that Hank did his residency with. We had a great time! Great elk burgers, sine, veggies, and the cake turned out wonderfully (which I was worried about b/c of the altitude.)

Day 100 April 10 {2010} M had her first softball game today! Here she is looking so cute! She did great, hitting the ball all three times and stopping it when it came to her. She even went after balls that weren't hit to her!

After baseball, we came home and started some serious spring cleaning. We got the kids' tv room and bathrooms, plus H's room completely unpacked, winter clothes put up, and organized. M decided she liked cleaning bathrooms and did hers and H's! We felt good after this so headed out to get some food for grilling! Here are my fun new dishes from Target! They are specifically for outside, and plastic, so they won't break when the kids are carrying them around. Plus, I got those cute cups from my MIL! Love them!

The kids had a blast playing in the hottub again! What a fabulous great, family day. It seems like forever since we had one. I am so blessed with the people God has put in my life! Love you guys!

Day 101 April 11 {2010} We slept in a little today. Amazing how well Tylenol PM works when you are exhausted! We got up, I did a little design work, then we headed to Panda Express for some yummy food! REI and Target, with on a couple of shirts and a plastic box on the tab, we came home to start on M's room. YIKES! That girl knows how to make a mess! We separated all her winter clothes, reorganized her toys, Heath built a shelf unit we'd had since January, and it was like new again! I cleaned the kitchen and made supper (YUMMY Chicken Spaghetti) while Heath napped. He's now getting ready for work, M is watching a movie, H is playing a game on his computer, and I'm blogging. What a fantastic weekend! Here is proof of our labor this weekend! (Gotta get it clean for my sis who is coming in 2 weeks!)

{day 98 of 365}

Day 98 April 8 {2010} Running behind should be the title of this day! I had to wake up M at 8:40 to leave the house, dressed, in 6 minutes...and we totally did it! I ran a couple of errands today, came home, met the pool people, and attempted to learn how to operate a pool. Luckily, Heath was here, and I'm pretty sure he got it!

After getting the kids from school, we went on search of a suitcase for our trip to Italy. I found one at Dillards! Yeah, it's purple and very cool. Then, we grabbed dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, went to Eddie Bauer, the Apple Store (You will see Heath below with an iPad...he bought one, just not that one!) and the Mac Store for eyeshadow (for me not Heath). I know, he got the better end of the night!

We came home to find our hot tub ready for soaking! WOO HOO! So, at 8:30, we all put on our suits and had our first dip in the hot tub! Here are the kids.

Now we are running behind (see I told you!), M isn't in bed yet, and I am sitting in my wet swim suit helping Hunter with homework. We are great parents huh!?!? Hey, you only have the first time ever in our hot tub once! It just happens to be tonight!

{day 97 of 365}

Day 97 April 7 {2010} Wednesdays wear me out for some reason. Not sure why. M slept with me last night and woke me up about 4 b/c she didn't have "Big Blankie." I'm sure that's self explanatory. Waking up at that time of the morning is bad since I then start waking up over and again wondering how much time I have left to sleep! Anyway...After taking H to school, I came home, made breakfast, and watched Lost. I love this show. It's awesome, one of the best ever on tv. LOVE IT! But, I'm lost...I need the end to happen so I'll know the answer! If there is one that is.
The pool people came today to start opening the pool. Not good. We learned 4 out of the 10 solar panels need to be replaced...gag, but we should be able to swim in it on Friday. With the gas heater, it'll be fine, if we get around to swimming that is...if it's not too cold.
We spent the afternoon at home, i cleaned and did laundry, started dinner too. M didn't want to go to tball practice (i think it's because she didn't want to get out of her pajamas!), but she went anyway. After, I finished our yummy yummy dinner (Cilantro-Lime Chicken, yellow rice, spaghetti squash, and avacado-tomato salsa). I even did the dishes after. (I also worked a little on a new kit and my LO for this week's new release.)
Hunter is starting a new book "Igraine the Brave" as his school is doing a school wide read on it. Each family gets a copy of the book. Tomorrow, I'll catch M and I up on it, then we want to start reading every day as a family! Here is H with his new book!

{day 96 out of 365}

Day 96 April 6 {2010} I took the kids to school and returned home. I spent the morning checking email, finalizing the week's menu, and then going to the grocery store. I came home, put up the cold stuff and ate lunch. After picking up M from school, we laid on the couch and watched Princess and the Frog! (I took a quick power nap.) Then, I got up to start on the household management aspect of my "home engineering" job! This includes calendar updates, bills, mail, etc. I got caught up before H had to get to baseball practice/scrimmage. While there, M made him this sign! "Go Number 4" How cute is that! It was so freaking cold and windy today. We lasted about an hour, then to the car! Came home and ate supper. Now H is doing homework, Heath is getting ready for work, and I am about to put M in the bath. Have a great day/night!
