Favorite Vacation...
This is hard. My favorite Vacation ever? Can I have Categories?
1. Heath and I alone...ITALY! I think I said that earlier in a post on places I've traveled. But, this was so awesome! Many things went into it being the best Vacation ever! It was after kids and without kids. It's hard to get away just the two of us after kids. And, I'd dreamed of it since college. I loved it. Here we are in St. Mark's Square in Venice. We really liked Venice a lot.
2. The Best Family Vacation....DisneyWorld, 2009. In the fall of 2008, Heath told me he wanted to plan a huge trip, the perfect trip to Disney with the kids. He wanted a "reward" for all of us for making it though med school and residency and all the sacrifices our family had to make. We were there for 10 days....it was perfect. I spent a year planning every detail. (If you are looking to plan the perfect vacay to DisneyWorld...please see Tour Guide Mike. I swear on his methods and advice!) This is the cover to our Disney book...which I finished about 2-3 weeks ago. I can't wait to get it in the mail! I used My Magical Place for this page.
3. The most frequented Vacation Spot...outside of Texas...Crested Butte, Colorado. We love CB! It's so fun and quirky, and oh the food!?!? Oh, and the scenery! The Rocky Mountains are fabulously gorgeous! The kids and Heath love to ski, I love to scrap with some hot tea at my side! We also love to sled when there! We (along with my in-laws) leave Thursday night for CB, a long holiday weekend here! I think we promised M a snowman this time (hard with powder, but we'll get it done somehow!) Here is a picture from our trip in January. Credits
I am so very fortunate to be able to vacation! We love love love to travel. We have tried to decide where we want to go on a family, or as a couple next...H and I are trying to talk Heath into Australia. Maybe when the kids are a bit older. I would also love a cruise to Alaska.....a girl can dream right!
When I came to your blog I realized I was way more behind posting than I thought I was - LOL! This means some major posting tomorrow for me...
